Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect nothing. Fare Enough has no account, no ads, no analytics and no server of ours. Your rides stay on your phone, and the only things that leave it are requests to Apple Maps.
Who we are
Fare Enough (named Fare Enough Meter on the App Store) is made by Mikita Iwanowski (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app and this website do with information about you. You can reach us at info@slnt-opp.xyz.
What we collect: nothing
- No account and no sign-in.
- No ads.
- No analytics and no tracking.
- No third-party SDKs.
- No server of ours. We, the developer, receive no data from the app at all.
What stays on your phone
Your rides (their routes, times, distances and fares), your tariff packs, your receipts and your settings are stored only on your phone. If you back up your phone to iCloud or to a computer, they are part of that backup, which is yours. You can delete a ride in the app at any time, and deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone.
Location
Fare Enough uses your location only while the meter runs:
- Free, while the app or CarPlay is in front: at low accuracy, to warm up GPS for the next ride.
- Hired or Paused: at full rate, to measure the distance driven. This carries on while your phone is locked, and iOS shows that the app is using your location.
- Off duty, and once a ride reaches To pay: location is off.
Your location is processed on your phone, to measure the distance driven and, for tariff packs that have zones, to tell which zone the car is in. Each ride’s route is saved with the ride on your phone, for its map and its receipt. Your location is never sent to us.
The app asks to use your location only while you’re using it, never “Always”. If you say no, the meter still counts time.
Apple Maps
To draw maps, make map pictures for receipts, and look up street and place names (including which tariff zone you’re in), the app sends requests to Apple Maps: map tiles, map snapshots and reverse geocoding. These requests carry the map area or the position being looked up, and they go from your phone straight to Apple, which handles them under its own privacy policy. We never see them.
Bluetooth
The app uses Bluetooth only to find and talk to a receipt printer you choose. It remembers which printer you picked, on your phone, until you tell it to forget it.
Files you share
When you share a receipt or a tariff pack, it goes wherever you send it, such as Messages, Mail or Files, and that app or service’s own policy applies. The app reads the clipboard only when you ask it to import a tariff pack from there.
Children
Fare Enough collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Your choices
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, correct, export or delete. Everything the app keeps is on your phone, where you can delete it at any time.
This website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or anything else from other servers. We don’t keep logs of your visits. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The “Leave a tip” button takes you to PayPal. A tip is handled by PayPal under its own terms and privacy policy; we see only what PayPal shows a payee.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
